Et pour cela, l'actrice Gina Rodriguez le remercie.

Gina Rodriguez, surtout connue pour être l'héroïne de la série Jane the Virgin, a fait une déclaration au réalisateur Robert Rodriguez sur Instagram.

L'actrice de 31 ans d'origine porto-ricaine remercie celui à qui on doit Desperado, Une Nuit en Enfer, Spy Kids, Machete ou encore Sin City de faire régulièrement confiance à de jeunes acteurs (ou plutôt actrices, soit dit en passant) latinos. 

"Il est un porte-parole pour le recrutement d'artistes latinos à la fois devant et derrière la caméra", s'enthousiasme l'actrice, qui rappelle que le réalisateur d'origine mexicaine est également producteur, scénariste, monteur, compositeur et à la tête de sa propre chaîne télévisée, El Rey. "En faisant ça, Robert prépare de nombreux Latinos pour l'industrie hollywoodienne. En choisissant des réalisateurs et des scénaristes latinos, il leur donne l'opportunité de faire leurs premiers pas dans l'industrie avec du travail génial sur leur CV, il les prépare au succès", affirme Gina Rodriguez, alors que le cinéaste touche-à-tout a notamment lancé la carrière internationale de Salma Hayek et a confié à la Mexicaine Eiza Gonzalez le premier rôle de sa série Une Nuit en Enfer.

"Je suis inspirée et admirative de cette fantastique locomotive", insiste l'actrice, qui remercie chaleureusement l'acolyte de Quentin Tarantino d'utiliser son "pouvoir pour faire avancer sa communauté".
